ABOUT THE ROLE – QC In‑Line TechWe are seeking an energetic and detail‑oriented QC In‑Line Tech to support quality operations at our Penn Yan, NY facility. This role ensures that all products meet required quality standards at every stage of the manufacturing and packaging process. The QC In‑Line Tech plays a critical part in food safety, regulatory compliance, and maintaining overall product integrity in a fast‑paced 24/7 production environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO• Sample product at designated intervals and evaluate physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics
• Conduct packaging evaluations, including tear‑downs and visual inspections
• Verify label accuracy, packaging formats, and coding requirements
• Monitor and record processing parameters to ensure compliance with specifications
• Support KanPak quality, food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete quality records as required
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and escalate when necessary
• Support continuous improvement activities related to quality and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED• High school diploma or GED required
• 2–3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or related work preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs as required
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime
THE SCHEDULE & SETTING• Rotating 12‑hour schedule
Week A: 36 hours (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Week B: 48 hours (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday)
• Shift: Days or Nights (based on operational need)
• Work performed in production and laboratory environments with exposure to processing equipment, packaging lines, and quality lab tools
PAY & BENEFITSPay Range (Base Pay): $19.75 per hour + $0.50 shift differential
Other Compensation: May include overtime pay and shift premiums where applicable
